The Myocarditis Surge: Dr. McCullough Continues To Sound The Alarm
Before the COVID-19 pandemic, cardiologist Dr. Peter McCullough had encountered only two cases of myocarditis throughout his extensive career. However, since the introduction of mRNA vaccines, he reports having examined thousands of patients with this condition.
Dr. McCullough highlights over 1,000 peer-reviewed studies on COVID-19 vaccine-associated myocarditis, underscoring the seriousness of this issue.
A Disturbing Trend
In recent testimony, Dr. McCullough references several cases that illustrate the potential severity of vaccine-induced myocarditis:
- A 42-year-old man from Washington University developed myocarditis and died three days after receiving the Moderna vaccine. Infection was ruled out, and the vaccine was identified as the cause.
- In South Korea, a young man collapsed days after receiving the Pfizer vaccine and died within eight hours. Autopsy findings indicated his heart was severely inflamed.
- A report from Connecticut documented two teenage boys, aged 16 and 17, who died suddenly in their sleep shortly after receiving the Pfizer vaccine. Autopsies revealed myocarditis as the cause of death.
Dr. McCullough emphasizes, “These cases should have gotten everyone’s attention. We should never have someone die after taking a vaccine that’s directly caused to the vaccine.”
Data Supporting the Concerns
Recent studies and reports provide data that align with Dr. McCullough’s observations:
- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has mandated updates to the warning labels on Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines to reflect concerns about heart inflammation risks, particularly myocarditis and pericarditis, in adolescents and young men. [Axios]
- A systematic review found that the number of myocarditis reports in the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) after COVID-19 vaccination in 2021 was 223 times higher than the average of all vaccines combined for the past 30 years. This represented a 2500% increase in the absolute number of reports in the first year of the campaign. Demographic data revealed that myocarditis occurred most in youths (50%) and males (69%), with 76% of cases resulting in emergency care and hospitalization. [PMC]
- A Korean nationwide study reported that among 21 deaths related to vaccine-related myocarditis, eight were sudden cardiac deaths confirmed by autopsy. [Oxford Academic]
Dr. McCullough is calling for increased transparency and a reevaluation of vaccination strategies.
